Hartigan's - Troy, NY

The photos below appear to be of displays arranged by Hartigan's Department Store of Troy, New York, but the displays were probably designed for a trade show or public exhibition.  In the first photo, you can see evidence of elevated gallery seating like one would find in an arena.

The American Flyer Display shown most clearly in the second photo helps us date the photo.  The presence of the 48T Royal Blue set that was only offered in 1948 tells us that the photo was almost certainly taken in that year.  Shown below that set on the display shelves are the 4607A set headed by a K5 Pacific, the 4618 set headed by the Nickel Plate 0-8-0 switcher and finally the 4801A headed by an Atlantic.
