1948 Display - Governor's Day, September 20, 1948 - Left to Right Frances B. Reddick, Sec. of State, Claire Shannon, daughter of the Governor, Commissioner John J. Egan, Mrs Shannon, Governor James J. Shannon, Raymond Loring, Chairman, State Development Commission, Connecticut. The date on the back of this photo enabled the dating of all other photos in which this layout appears.

1948 Display - C. Al Joy, Sales Manager for Trains preparing an Exhibit for the Eastern States Exposition. Other individual may be builder Glen Roxor Short who later worked on the large 1st floor layout.

1948 Display -This is the other side of the American Flyer Display Layout, which together occupied the circular 1948 Display. This is established by the next slide, which shows both sides.

1952 Display - This appears to be the same display that appeared earlier in 1952 at "Industry's Open House" at the Goffe Street Armory in New Haven. The arrangement of the items on the display is slightly different but it is essentially the same display. This shot was definitely taken at the Eastern States Exposition as that venue's signature draperies and tall pillars are clearly present.

1959 Display - Connecticut Governor Abraham Ribicoff and Mrs. Ribicoff with Maury Romer at the Eastern States Exposition in 1959. This appears to be the same layout that was later displayed at Freedomland

1963 Display - Connecticut Governor John Dempsey and Mrs Dempsey at the Gilbert Display at the Eastern States Exposition. The stockyard, an unlikely item to be featured in a 1963 layout, is seen clearly in this photo. If you look carefully in the photo of the overall view of the display, you can see it at the front center.

This enlarged view taken from the previous photo shows a pile of catalogs which are from 1963.
