1959 Train Exhibit at Eastern States Exposition1948 Display
 C. Al Joy, Sales Manager for Trains preparing an Exhibit for the Eastern States Exposition.  In addition to identifying Mr. Joy, a note on the reverse of this photo states that the layout was built by "C. Roxor Short."  V. Roxor Short was a layout builder whose name can be found on factory layouts sold to stores in the late 40's so I think the "C" is most likely an error.   I examined census records for 1940 and discovered that V. Roxor Short had one son born in 1930, Glen K. Short.   I believe that the young man pictured in the photo is Glen Short.  Glen can be seen clearly identified in a 1955 photo at work on the 3rd first floor layout at the New York Hall of Science.  (Click here to see him at work on that layout 7 years later.)
