To the best of my knowledge, this scene from the 1950 catalog, which appears to be a painting from a photo, is the first view of the New York Hall of Science 2nd floor layout to appear in a catalog.   It shows the three level crossing and the right end of the large lake.  It probably most closely matches the state of the layout at the time of the filming of the Boys' Railroad Club television show.  One feature that is also seen in that television show is the right hand switch which leads immediately into a 90 degree crossing seen at the lower right here.
