At first glance, this is a very ordinary oval.   But look again and note the 27 inch width noted in the description.  This is probably an example of "S-27" and predates Pikemaster track by about 2 years.  A careful examination of the curved portions of the oval seem to indicate that the curve tracks are not sections, but rather one specially made 180 degree curved section on either side.  Note that there are no "double ties" that are normally found at track section joints, except where the curves and straight sections meet.
